Cast

Cast of Characters (in order of age):
  • Maggie: 1001% sweetheart. Not a mean bone in her body. Not even when Ashley is is bothering her. Joined the family in 2003 as a kitten.
  • Ashley: a tortoise shell kitten (soon to be cat) that was rescued by my awesome sister-in-law. Too many nicknames for her. Joined the family in June 2010 as a 8 week old kitten.
  • Max: the summer of 2016 feral kitten I thought would be a garage cat but now is MY baby and an indoor/outdoor cat. Nicknames are Max, Maxwell Smart and Maxwell Smartie Pants when he gets on my nerves.

Humans:
  • My Husband: most patient man in the world with a hard head. I am not sure how he lives with me but somehow he does.
  • Me: Mom, MOTHER (when son is mad at me), animal crazy person, geek and nerd - it takes work to keep up both of those titles.
  • My Son: the perfect kid for me. What else can I say?

Rainbow Bridge:
  • Geico: a Spotted Leopard Gecko originally named Zach until we found out she was a girl. Renamed Geico (because the real Zach did not like Zacharalla). Joined the family in April 2006 (was probably around 1 1 /2 years old at that time). Geico passed late Saturday January 5, 2019. She had become lethargic and her belly was becoming swollen. I rushed her to the vet with what I thought was an impaction but apparently she had developed a mass in her abdomen. She will be missed - she was my work buddy.
  • Murphy: a tabby kitten boy. He will be the first boy cat in our group and was found Thanksgiving day 2011. He joined our family as a 4 to 6 month old kitten.
    • Murphy is now a part timer because he adopted another family. They are totally cool people and he still comes to visit but their house is home base.
    • Murphy probably passed in the summer of 2018. I noticed he was getting thinner and coming to our house more often. I started putting out food for him again and went to speak with the family that adopted him only to find out they had moved. I continued to try to feed him but had a dream in which he came to tell me good-bye and he has not been seen since. Murphy, you are loved and missed by us - I hope you are enjoying the freedom of your new adventure.
  • Mini: tabby cat my husband found. 51% sweetheart, 49% not so sweetheart. Joined the family in 2003 as a kitten. Mini passed April 2018. She lived life to the fullest and had great days until the end. Mini, you are missed.
  • Endy: real name Endymion, a.k.a. the big dumb dog. He will lick a robber to death and loves to bark early in the morning. Born the night of Endymion, February 2003, joined the family May 2003. June 21, 2014, Endy graced us for the last time. It is hard to image a world without him and my heart hurts.
  • Athos: a small Shrimp that joined me and A2 in my office August 10, 2012 (I must get a life!). RIP November 2013.
  • A2: A beta fish who joined me for my adventures at work. Real character, likes to follow my finger around the bowl. Joined me in science and technology April 16, 2012. RIP July 29, 2013.
  • Jumper: an African Clawed frog with a pen chance for escaping. Now lives with Henry is is a big fat frog. Joined the family in April 2008 as a little guy. Did I say he was big and fat now? Jumper left us Sunday, October 14, 2012. I hope he is getting as much food as he wants now.
  • Porthos and Aramis: small Shrimp that joined me and A2 in my office August 10, 2012. RIP week of August 20th. Sorry you left us so soon.
  • Alpha: seeing how I am lonely at work, this little beta fish was brought into our family to keep me company on Friday, April 6, 2012 (Good Friday). RIP Alpha, April 12, 2012.
  • Henry: an incredible plecostomus that survived in our tank during Hurricane Katrina for 5 weeks without electricity. He is huge now. Joined the family in May 2005 as a little fish. Henry left us February 5, 2012 - R.I.P. big guy!
